Assignments

What is an Assignment?

An assignment can help organize work duties by linking people to places, and checklists. Where people work, who works there, and what they are inspecting.

Assignments can help group data together for reporting and help manage what work needs to be completed.

Assignments can be used for ongoing tasks or special projects.

Parts of an Assignment

Name – the name of the assignment describes the use of this assignment. (i.e. if you would like to report on all inspections performed on a specific shift for your daily inspection process, you will name this assignment “Day Shift Daily Inspection”)

Checklist(s) – the checklists you want your team to access with this assignment. You can select more than one checklist for an assignment.

Location Models – the location models selected are the types of rooms that are associated with the assignment. When in a specific location model, you will only see the topics that are linked to that location model. (i.e. in a restroom, you will only see the sink, toilet, chrome fixtures, mirror, etc. You will not see items that would be listed in an office.) Click here to learn more about Location Models.

Assignment level  – the assignment level is the location level you will be inspecting at, the choices are Campus, Building, Floor, Area or Room. (i.e.. if you are doing an inspection for an entire Wing of a hospital, you will select the Area as the assignment level. If you need to inspect each individual room, you will select Room as the assignment level.)

Places – the places are the locations accessible to be inspected. (An Assignment can have all or specific locations, to limit where the inspections can be performed).

People – the people involved are the Operators, who are responsible for correcting failed items, Evaluators who are the ones performing the inspections, and the Managers who are cc’d on emails to be in the loop on what is and isn’t being corrected.  Those that you assign you will be accessible to this assignment.

Quotas – Quotas set inspection goals for your team and help them stay on track with their inspection requirements. By setting quotas, you can give each Evaluator a specific number of inspections they need to do within a certain time period. (i.e. you can give an Evaluator a quota of 3 inspections per day. This means that they must perform a minimum of 3 inspections per day, or they will fall behind on their quota. If they fall behind on their quota, they will get an automated email informing them that they must catch up on their inspection quota.)
