Android Loading Issues, Device Troubleshooting

If your App has difficulty loading, it hangs, or you cannot do an inspect these instructions will assist you in troubleshooting your Android phone or tablet.

  1. Ensure your device's operating system is up to date. 
    1. Click on the Settings app.
    2. Click on Software Update.
    3. Select Check for Updates.
    4. A message will inform you if your software is up to date. If the software is not up to date, you must upgrade to the latest version.

  1. Ensure you are running the latest version of WalshQA.
    1. You can see the Walsh App version number at the top right-hand corner of your dashboard screen, next to your user role, to see if you are running the latest version of WalshQA.  

  1. Clear your web browser cache.
    1. Click on the Google Chrome App on your device's home screen.
    2. In the top right-hand corner, click on the three verticle dots to open the web browser settings.
    3. Click on Settings.
    4. Click on Privacy.
    5. Click on Clear Browsing Data.
    6. Select all three menu items.
    7. Click on Clear Data.

  1. Close the WalshQA Application and reopen it.
    1. On the Walsh QA page, select the three verticle lines at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
    2. The list of all open apps will appear.
    3. Swipe Up on the page to close the up.
    4. Re-open the app.

  1. Restart your device. 
    1. Hold the Power button on the top right-hand side to turn off the tablet/phone. 
    2. Follow the instructions until the device is fully turned off.
    3. Hold the Power button on the top to turn the device back on.

  1. Ensure your device is connected to a reliable and stable Wi-Fi connection.
    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Click on the Connections.
    3. Click on Wi-Fi.
    4. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
    5. Make sure a reliable and stable Wi-Fi network is connected.
    6. If Wi-Fi is not connected, select an available Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password.

  1. If you are using the WalshQA home screen shortcut, delete the shortcut and reinstall. 
    1. On the tablet home screen, press and hold the WalshQA app.
    2. A menu will pop up, click Uninstall to remove the WalshQA app.
