Add Details to an Inspection
When performing an inspection, you may need to add details to an inspection item. For example, adding notes, photos, or a follow-up task with a due date and operator.
Below will guide you through the steps in adding inspection details to your inspection items.
- To add details to an inspection item, while in an inspection, you must first select a Response Option to a question you are observing. (i.e.Pass/Fail/etc.)
- Once you have selected your response option, clicking the Down Arrow on the right-hand side of the response option will allow you to add inspection details to your response.
- Here you can review the Standard and Procedure, assign an Operator, add Notes, or add Photos to the inspection question.
- Click on the Standard, in order to review the Standard and Procedure for how this question should be corrected.
- You can also assign an operator to the item. Note: When selecting a response that has a response action set up to open a follow-up, the system will prompt you to select an operator (this is mandatory), you can also select a due date & a manager (if applicable).
- To add inspection notes, select the Note icon, and you will be able to add in your own notes by sing the keyboard or audio to text input from your mobile device. You can also choose from a list of Predefined Notes.
- You can add photos of your inspection items by selecting the Photo icon. (Note: if you are on a mobile device, the camera app will automatically open. If you are on a desktop/laptop computer, you can only upload a photo that is already on your device).
- Once you are satisfied with the added inspection details, you can continue with your inspection.
- Once you are finished with your inspection, click on the Complete button at the bottom of your screen to complete the inspection.
